Today I did the same runs like on 24th of July - nearly perfect with both t6c's but the red arrow on did three peeks (each just for about 10 seconds ... I used the 2s-rate for recording). Not so bad but I don't hope it will start again the bad altitude sampling... try to get the next investigation on weekend...

Today I did a 9km walking and then a 16km running. The last one showed the same mistake in altimeter measuring before I send back the red arrow to Suunto. As a result the figure of asc/desc was 2,25 times higher than in reality. I also used a t6c grey model for comparing. This t6c showed nearly a perfect altitude line (just 3% that means 0.97 times of the reality).
I did all the graphs on a document file and sent it to Suunto Helpdesk. I am noisy of their answer. I'm lucky to be a German customer - so I have just one additional year for solving this annoying problem...

Try to give you a word document which shows the bad recording of the red arrow yesterday regarding the altitude. But sorry, I'm not sure if it will work - if not: Look at my log in "runners world" forum (there my name is "joggwithoutdog" and this evening I added the above mentioned word document for explaining the failure in an illustrated way)

New informations:
End of last week Suunto told me that the problem of "swinging" altitude should be solved with a new update :-(
And also try to explain that there may be small differences between different t6c's depending on how to "tune" the clocks and of the normal tolerance zone (...of course) ... but that's not the problem.
Therefore I give them an answer attaching a jpc.file with the normal altitude graph of the "grey" t6c and the "red arrow" one with its bigger swinging graph at some points leading to totally wrong figure of ascend/descend...

Till today I've never heard about a new solution advice of Suunto :-((

PS hoped they will give a fair advice at my "birthday" on Monday ... but nothing till today. If there will be news I give you the informations.

No answering from Suunto Helpdesk yet - I guess I have to send the picture of the wrong altitude recording from the red arrow in comparison to the one recorded at the same time with the grey t6c again :-( ...maybe tomorrow).
Nice running to all  - we have heavy raining at the moment...

New informations:
Got a mail from Suunto Helpdesk on the next day (18th August) - I tried to explain the whole thing in English and answered on the same day.
In the meantime I had some holidays near Austria (without running and so without t6(c)'s) ... but also without an answer from Suunto ... maybe they are thinking of solving the problem with the red arrow...
A long way to a satisfied customer... :-(
All readers: Good running and no problems with the technical gadgets...
