 Topic: T6c and Moveslink on OS X doesn't work Posted: 09 Jun 2010 at 21:42 |
|
Hi
Finally Suunto released an official software solution for OS X... I've registered on movescount.com and downloaded and installed Moveslink for OS X. The software is running but when I connect my T6c, nothing happens. Not even an error message :-/
Anybody else having this problem? Solutions? Suunto didn't reply to my support request...

I have the same problem. Moveslink seemed to install correctly, but and it appears to be running as an application, but it never asked me for the movescount username/password and does nothing when I connect my T6C to my mac osx 10.5.8 with intel processors.
I installed the windows version on my work PC and it works fine.
Any ideas what is wrong? Is there a known bugs website for the software?

can someone link to the OS X? I haven´t seen that software, and I have Suunto T6c so I will test it.

I do not have a T6c but have a T6 and it works for me. You might check by moving the browser window around. I use the latest version of Safari and if the browser is up and running, it can cover the moveslink window where moveslink asks for username and password. If it does not recognize the watch just quit and restart moveslink. I too have differences in TE between STraM and Moveslink.

Hey there, i'm using a t3d - and getting this problem.
The t3d connects to the movelink stick (or so it tells me)
Mac OS X sees the movelink device (but wants' to set it up as a network device).
Just can't get the moveslink software to do anything.
The same moveslink and t3d work as i've tested it on a windows machine.
Just about to try nuking the preference files and trying again.
I'm using Mac OS X 10.6.4

Well - it stopped working again. Left it plugged in over night, then tried it again in the morning - and it worked !!!!
Next plan will be to turn off the wireless networks in the flat and see if that makes a difference !

Hi there,
I had a similar problem, my T3 showed pc Connect but moveslink would not "launch". Traced the whole stuff with dtrace and found out the SW had problems reading from my USB. I had the POD on the usb port of my Keyboard, this seemed not to work. Tried another USB Port ( on the Back of my MAC) et voila, this did the Job! So I propose to check with the POD on every USB-Port and see if there is a difference! Maybe disable superfluously USB-Devices?

Movescount installed on MacBook running OS 10.6.4. Hardware sees FTDI USB to Serial cable. Clipping on T6c and 'PC Interface' displayed. But nothing at all happens.
Didn't really expect Suunto software to work, from my bad experience of the crap Training Manager software on windoze 7.
