    Posted: 01 Feb 2010 at 20:47

I have now completed about 9 training sessions since getting my T6c and have recorded these on my training manager software.

Originally I could see various charts and statistics but since adding my last one, even though I double click I am unable to get that information back, I've tried pressing all the Graph, anyalise etc buttons but this has not worked.

Is there a way to retrieve this information and a better way to compare the sessions in order I can construct a training program around my abilities.

Thanks

I'm not a big fan of the Suunto Training Manager software myself - it presents me numbers but with little meaning to me being a non-expert.
So I prefer using the Firstbeat Athlete software. If you want to try it out,
I believe it has a 14 day trial period. After that I think a license is approx 100 USD (50-60 punds) one time fee. There you can see if a weeks training is hard or moderate and you have a coach that suggest how you should train. It can not substitute a human coach, but far better than nothing.

As a professional user and with no axe to grind (I use both Suunto and Firstbeat - Suunto is much easier to use for the general user.

For a general guide to how to use it see my Suunto running manual here:

Thanks for your reply Eddie, I'll look into those manuals and see if that makes it easier to understand.
The main thing for me is understanding what all the records/graphs mean and how to adjust a workout program to suit what I am trying to achieve which is better all round fitness and improved stamina.
The watch is a great piece of kit but you need to have a qualification in IT and physical training to know how best to use it!

Hi Eddie, seems to be subjective, but I disagree with you that Suunto Training Manager is easier to use than Firstbeat Athlete. I actually use both and I prefer FBA.

I use STraM, FBA, Firstbeat Sport and Firstbeat Health!

But agree is subjective - STraM was designed for basic use!

As with all things once you get used to a piece of software and know what you are looking for easier it becomes

Certainly a very sophisticated piece of kit - it is literally a laboratory on your wrist.

For UK users (and indeed for anyone in the World prepared to travel) I will be running some courses in the UK on how to set up and use the t6c and software (including how to test yourself).

These will be run at my Sports Performance Centre which will be open April/May subject to builders - watch my website www.fletchersportscience.co.uk for opening date and details of courses.

Out of my hands really - Landlords Architect is just submitting for building regs etc and then out to tender to a small list of local contractors.

I will ask him to look at your website!
