Hi,
I'm currently at AC 7.5 PL 6. The watch has asked me allready 3 times to update to AC 8 but I refused each time, not feeling ready or up to it. Unfortunately it doesn't change the PL when refusing an AC update it just keeps completely the same settings.
And I kept on following the recommendations of PL 6, really stupid actually because PL 6 is about the hardest program level, at AC 7.5 anyway. So it's only logical that overtraining would be the result and that's where I am now. I would have expected my HR rest to go up which isn't so much the case, I just can't run slow enough to reach my TE in the given time when I need to do TE's under 3, my HR is much higher now when running slowly then it usually is.
I've decided to rest for the rest of this week. But what should I do with the AC should I manually bring it back to AC 7.5 because then it automatically takes PL 5 ? Or should I update to AC 8 automatically then it also takes PL 5 ? I geuss the difference is the intensity of the TE values.
I allready took a look at what the trainingplan would be if I would chose AC 8 or 7.5 again, so I can't let the watch decide after the rest period as this comes down to resetting the watch.
Any ideas, please let me know.

Also listen to your body.
That is what you do now.
Don't always follow the recommendations of the coach, but do something else. The coach can be helpfull I think, but it has to match with your feelings.

Sounds to me that you ahve some element of over training or maybe a low level virus. Rest is GOOD - I would revert back to 7.5

Thanks Eddie and Sagitarius,
I went running this morning (couldn't wait another day) and it went really well, my feet were light, respiration was fine and HR normal.
At some time (depending on how fast I improve) I would like to buy a T6c, but I feel like I really need to learn so much more on training physiology to get the most out of the T6.
Eddie, could you point out a couple of books that could be helpfull ?
I'm not a novice in physiology in general, but I know almost nothing about training. I'm not looking for shedules, I want to understand how to make and adapt them.

Quite a bit on my website www.fletchersportscience.co.uk - to be honest even physiology texts don't cover the subject well particularly using R-R and frequency analysis (Recovery Index and HRV Index).
For general physiology one of the bibles is Exercise Physiology - McArdle, Katch & Katch.

I hope not  - Seriously SPORT and HEALTH the professional softwares are reasonably expensive in Europe and very expensive in the UK. Involves annual license fees! So people like me have heavy financial investment in Firstbeat software.
They are designed for professionals - some of this stuff is difficult to interpret even for a full time physiologist.
Having said that I've mentioned elsewhere www.myithlete.com £34.99 application for an iPOD which uses HRVIndex to look at recovery. Again it's all in the interpretation but a great piece of software.

Don't worry Eddie!
According to Tuomas at Firsbeat, they don't have any plans to include that functionality in Athlete, at least not right now. I would personally think it would be useful though, as recovery is very personaly and might vary a lot between two athletes.
